Collegiate and professional athletes have invested thousands of hours in early morning gym sessions, strict nutrition regimens, grueling practices, tough losses, major wins and so much more than what people see on the outside.
Athletes are committed to their sport not only because they are passionate about it, but because it has played a major role in their development as an individual outside of sports. Athletics has influenced and shaped the way in which they form relationships, make decisions and handle the challenges and thrills of everyday life.
This dedication does not come without sacrifices. How many times have you had to pass on or cancel plans with friends? Probably lots and the reason was probably something along the lines of "I can't, I have practice" (we've all been there before). Playoff was created with the idea that dating someone with a shared, unique life experience can be incredibly special! Playoff gives collegiate and professional athletes from all sports and all walks of life the opportunity to connect with other athletes with similar perspectives and mentality to create meaningful and lasting relationships.

Regardless of what sport you play, where you train, whether you are still an athlete or not, dating someone who can understand the athlete perspective and has that shared life experience is invaluable! Playoff is for any athlete who has competed after high school in a verified collegiate or professional program for at least one season (Junior College, NAIA, NCAA, USport - all divisions, or professional and Olympic athletes who did not attend college)
How to get started
Download the Playoff app on your iPhone or smartphone located in the app store. Register your profile and get verified. Once you have been verified you can start creating your profile by setting filters, inputting athletic information and creating a short bio and you are ready to meet your match!
